BRIEF NOTE:
My scholarly research activities that contribute significantly to the field of interest; and the results enrich my students, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. My research is of an applied nature, which contributes to the area of applied technology. My research interests are in the areas of computer-aided engineering design and manufacturing, automation and materials processing technology, bio medical engineering, computation analysis, optimization, green technology, Artificial Intelligence, optimization etc. I have experience in human factors issues in manufacturing, computer-aided product design and development, and in developing robot. I have supervised under-graduate student and post graduate students projects in these areas. I continue to do scholarly work, including funded research, course development, articles in refereed journals and conference proceedings, book writing etc. I regularly attend and present papers at the international and national conferences of several professional societies.

a) Use of Artificial Intelligence in Machining
b) Mathematical model development for machining processes
c) Machinability of Work Materials and Methods of Improving Machinability
d) Chatter of Machine Tool Work Fixture (MTFW) System and Its Influence on Machinability of Work Materials, Machine and Tool life
e) Chatter during High Speed machining
f) Optimization of cutting Condition for minimum production cost
g) Research in the advanced fields of CAD/CAM, Flexible Manufacturing, Robotics and CIMh) FEM Technique for optimum process parameters, FEM model for Metal forming processes
(ii) Green Engineering:
a) Fabrication of composite materials from natural fibers
b) Alternative energy sources from waste materials
c) Bio-resource utilization
d) waste water treatment from kitchen waste
