Industrial engineering is vital being at the ultimate stage towards producing any products and creating services before making them available to markets. In present world situation, more on the milieu of COVID19, sustainable manufacturing would be an inevitable concern that will encompass technological, social, economic, and environmental issues along with ethical and moral dimensions while producing products and setting supply chain architecture. Therefore, engineers must think and rethink these major aspects while they measure the performance in terms of cost and productivity, quality and reliability, various kinds of flexibility and maintainability for time-bound responses from the foundation of product design to all downstream stages of materials’ and products’ flow, facilities as well as products’ life cycle and dynamic systems’ development. In today’s limited resources conjecture, work design must be done in compatible manners (ergonomically) and any kind of pollutant and environmental hazards should be controlled. Waste to resources and product recycling phenomena now have to be hand-in-hand. An energy efficient durable process with less carbon emission in environment is now a sweltering demand of time in manufacturing, and End of life (EOL) products treatment. Recycling may be considered as a source of renewable energy. EOL of products have of multi-degree of complexity WEEE (waste electrical and electronics equipment), and a new approach in the field of reuse, recycling, remanufacturing is to make for conserving the resources from a sustainable view point in the context of Electrical and Electronics industry as well, for instance. Therefore, researches are essential by incorporating and integrating knowledge of engineering decision and planning, project financing and economics, product life cycle via quality and reliability, work design using ergonomic parameters, and vibrant human resources management. Probable researches will obviously include multi-criteria mathematics (MCDM) and qualitative and quantitative (linear and non-linear) techniques and tools.
