BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
"Machine Learning (ML) is a branch of Artificial Intelligence (AI) focused on building applications that learn from data and improve their accuracy over time without being programmed to do so" [From: ibm.com]. Applied Machine Learning (AML) is the application of ML to a specific data-related problem.
The field of mechanical and industrial engineering is in an ongoing evolution. However, there are still doubts in many mechanical engineering companies as to whether AML is vital for their business or not. In recent decades, AML deployment has already been started, and now the emphasis is on its specific application and implementation. AML offers a lot of innovative new techniques, exclusively in mechanical and industrial engineering. With the support of the available data, the systems' performance, versatility, and consistency can be improved significantly. The expanded interchangeability of every device in many industries means, mostly in the future, not only for the machine itself but also most of all strategic assets would be sold.
In the above context, our research group's primary focuses are to guide a mechanical and production engineer/ student to find the solutions to the following questions:
• How do I begin a project on AML?
• What will be the suitable application area in my company to implement AML?
• What knowledge and skills do I need or need to achieve to the successful implementation of AML projects?
