Dr. Md. Abu Shaid Sujon
Lecturer
Dr. Md Abu Shaid Sujon earned his Ph.D. in 2024 from
the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), funded by leading organizations in
the hearing aid industry, including GN, Demant, and WS Audiology. He completed
his M.Sc. in Mechanical and Production Engineering in 2020 and his B.Sc. in
Mechanical and Chemical Engineering in 2015, both from the Islamic University
of Technology (IUT), a subsidiary organ of the Organization of Islamic
Cooperation (OIC).
Currently, Dr. Sujon serves as a Lecturer in the Department
of Mechanical and Production Engineering at IUT. His research integrates
advanced composite mechanics, thermoplastic processing, acoustic property
optimization, and sustainable material systems. With expertise in cutting-edge
material characterization techniques such as rheology, scanning electron
microscopy (SEM), and X-ray computed tomography (X-ray CT), he has explored
diverse areas of material science. Notably, during his tenure as a Visiting Scholar
at the University of Massachusetts, he specialized in the development of
advanced fiber-matrix composites using compounding and injection molding.
Dr. Sujon’s
technical proficiency extends to computer-aided design and engineering
(CAD/CAE) with software like SolidWorks and Abaqus, additive manufacturing, and
finite element modeling. His work often bridges theoretical research with
practical applications, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and
innovation. Through numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers,
and technical reports, he has contributed significantly to the academic
community, advancing both knowledge and practice in his field.
Beyond his
research, Dr. Sujon is a passionate educator who actively teaches undergraduate
courses and supervises final-year student projects. His robust academic
background and industrial insights enable him to inspire students and prepare
them to excel in the evolving landscape of mechanical engineering.
Specialization : Polymer Processing, Composite Mechanics, Advanced Material Characterization, Additive Manufacturing, CAD/CAM/CAE, Sustainable Material Systems, Finite Element Analysis.
