Dr. Mohammad Ahsan Habib

Mohammad Ahsan Habib received the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS) (In QS Ranking 2021, Asian position 1st and World position 11th). He received the B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Currently, he is serving Islamic University of Technology (IUT), a subsidiary organ of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), as a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering (MPE). His research interests include Process Development (Control, Optimization and Modeling), Machine Learning and Deep Learning in Energy Systems, Sustainable Energy Systems, Composite Materials, Finite Element Modeling (FEM), CAD/CAE/CAM. He has supervised many under-graduate and post-graduate students in these areas. Moreover, he has published many journal papers, book chapters and conference articles in these areas, where a good number of them are indexed in Web of Science. In addition, he is currently serving as a Head of the Office of Accreditation and Quality Assurance (AQA).
Specialization : Process Modeling and Optimization, Applied Machine Learning, Sustainable Energy Systems,  CAD/CAE(FEM)/CAM.
